Kim Kardashian said she prepared herself to be raped and killed during Paris robbery

Reality star and mother-of-two, Kim Kardashian, is still revealing more details about her traumatic experience in the hands of the robbers who attacked her in Paris.

On Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she revealed that the moment her attackers threw her on the bed, she already prepared her mind to be raped and killed by them and imagined that her sister, Kourtney, will come in to find her dead body.
She said:
"He grabs my legs, and I wasn’t, you know, I had no clothes on under. He pulled me toward him at the front of the bed and I thought, 'Okay, this is the moment they’re going to rape me,'"
"I fully mentally prepped myself – and then he didn’t.  He duck taped my legs together and had the gun up to me. I knew that was the moment they’re just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed…like, I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go."
Before the show aired, Kim took to her social media account to reveal that the particular episode was going to be very tough for her to watch.
"Tonight’s episode is going to be very tough for me. However, I thought it was important to share this story through my eyes & not in an interview where my own words could be twisted. I have always shared so much & I’m not going to hold back when this was probably one of the most life changing experiences for me," she wrote on Twitter.
Recounting the incident to her sister, Kourtney and Khloe, Kim said:
"I'm dozing and then I heard pounding up the stairs. I thought it was [Kourtney] and Stephanie drunk. I was calling to them like “Hello?” and there was no answer. And then at that moment when there wasn’t an answer my heart started to get really tense. My stomach knots up thinking “What’s going on?” I knew something wasn’t right."
17 people have been arrested in connection with the Paris armed robbery and 10 have been charged so far.

Where is Toyin Subair?

Does the name Toyin Subair ring a bell? Yes, he is the guy who emerged from nowhere to take the Nigerian pay television space by storm with HiTV, which for a time gave DSTV a run for its money and almost ran the South African satellite television company out of business.

In those happier times when HiTV was at the height of its fame, Subair became the toast of the Nigerian celebrity space. He was one of the most sought after personalities around as people literally begged him to give speeches at their events.

All that changed when HiTV lost the rights to broadcast the English Premier League, the proverbial cash cow which had been the reason for the explosion in its subscriber base. This development began the downward spiral which culminated in the company’s winding up and subsequent extinction. Since then, Subair, a seasoned lawyer, became as scarce as rain in harmattan period.

He was said to have left the shores of the country for greener pastures in the United Kingdom. The handsome dude is said to be putting finishing touches to a project he has been working on for some time.

Chuck Berry Rock ‘n’ Roll legend dead

American musical legend Chuck Berry, 90, who helped define rock ‘n’ roll’s potential and attitude in its early years is dead.

According to New York Times, St. Charles County Police Department in Missouri confirmed his death on its Facebook page .

While Elvis Presley was rock’s first pop star and teenage heartthrob, Berry was its master theorist and conceptual genius, the songwriter who understood what the kids wanted before they knew themselves.

With songs like “Johnny B. Goode” and “Roll Over Beethoven,” he gave his listeners more than they knew they were getting from jukebox entertainment.

His guitar lines wired the lean twang of country and the bite of the blues into phrases with both a streamlined trajectory and a long memory.

And tucked into the lighthearted, telegraphic narratives that he sang with such clear enunciation was a sly defiance, upending convention to claim the pleasures of the moment.

In “Sweet Little Sixteen,” “You Can’t Catch Me” and other songs,

Mr. Berry invented rock as a music of teenage wishes fulfilled and good times (even with cops in pursuit).

In “Promised Land,” “Too Much Monkey Business” and “Brown Eyed Handsome Man,” he celebrated and satirized America’s opportunities and class tensions.

His rock ’n’ roll was a music of joyful lusts, laughed-off tensions and gleefully shattered icons. ( NAN)

5 Reasons Nigerian Children Are Not Speaking Their Native Language

In the past children spoke Nigeria’s indigenous languages namely Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa fluently and unashamedly. However, today, the complete opposite is the case. Kids can barely communication in Efik or Idoma without adding a bit of English. The consequences of this are that many of these languages are facing extinction while some of them have gone extinct.
A research that is cited by those concerned to lend credence to the import of indigenous languages is that of former Minister of education, Prof. Babs Fafunwa. The late Prof made a case for the native language as the medium of education for the first 12 years of the child’s life.
Through an organized native language education program, they discovered children taught in the Yoruba language performed better. Regardless, it has not changed the fortunes of these languages because kids have refused to communicate. In line with this, Kikiotolu.com shares reasons children are not speaking their native language.

1. PARENTS DON’T SPEAK THE LANGUAGES TO THEM
Parents don’t speak their mother tongue to their children anymore. In fact, some of these parents when they go for attending events one of the best hotels in Lagos , they order their children not to speak the language. How can such a child learn the language? Parents should speak more to their kids in their mother tongue.

2. IT IS TAGGED VERNACULAR
In some schools today, Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo among other languages are banned because they are considered vernacular. A child who speaks his or her mother tongue would be penalized. So from the formative years of these children, they already have the perception that speaking their mother tongue is bad.

3. THEY ARE UNCIVILIZED
Many people believe that you are uncivilized or local if you speak your mother tongue. So, in other to join the bandwagon and be accepted, they dish Ibibio for English. This is all in the name of being civilized. Children have also been caught in this web

4. IT IS NOT COMPULSORY IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS
While English is compulsory in secondary schools today, the indigenous languages are not even though a child must study one of these languages. Children will think the languages are a joke. Hence, they won’t bother to learn or speak it.

5. TECHNOLOGY
The engagement or interaction of children with technology is entirely in English. Their smartphone, video games, laptop and other tech gadgets are in English. So since many of them spend so much time with these gadgets, they don’t have anything to do with the languages. This is a challenge to Nigerian developers to design tech gadgets in the indigenous languages.

Tekno May Have Sold His Soul To The Devil, See Reason.

We all know that the year has begun on the bright side for the TrippleMG songster, Tekno, who recently sealed a mammoth deal with Sonny Music. Even Wizkid and Davido, who have been running things on the international scene for about a year now have not gone close to sealing such deal. But Tekno, on the wings of Paul Okoye, the CEO of Upfront and Personal, just signed a $4million deal with Sonny Music.

This places him far over Davido and Wizkid in terms of cash, and questions have arisen as to how the singer suddenly bagged such mouth watering deal with the much coveted international music powerhouse. Only one thing has come to mind, and that's the possibility that the singer has crossed over to the other side.

Sony Music has been labeled devilish by many musicians in the past. The likes of the late legendary musician Michael Jackson came out openly to criticize the music powerhouse and its leadership, tagging them devilish. Barely some years after the singer made that revelation, he died. Going by this detail and much more, fans don't suppose that Tekno could attain such height with Sony Music without pledging his allegiance to the devil.
